Error Identification / Symptoms :
- The scanner is offline in the software interface while it is connected to the computer.
- Scanner is visible as SHINING-CAM in device manager
Occurrence :
This issue happens when FireWall, Windows, Antivirus program, block driver installation, or installation of software did not go as planned.
Tools Required

Administrative privileges to modify system settings
Solution
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open Device Manager
Press
Windows + X
and select Device Manager.
- Select Shining-Cam
Right click on SHINING-CAM and select “update driver”
Locate driver folder
Then select “Browse my computer for drivers”
Update Driver localy
Browse “Resource” folder in the software install path pictured below. Select “OK” and hit “next”
Verification
The scanner is recognized by the software without disconnecting.
The scanner remains online and functions correctly without interruptions.
