FreeScan Trak Nova - FAQ

Q: How can I enhance the level of detail in a scan data?

A: Since the FreeScan Trak Nova features two scanning sensors, you can first perform a large-area scan with UE Nova and then refine specific areas by switching to TE Nova for higher-resolution scanning. If using only TE Nova, the software offers Partial HD scanning, allowing resolution enhancement for intricate regions.

Q: How often should the system be calibrated?

A: It is recommended to calibrate the system every two weeks. Additionally, if there are changes in operating temperature, location, or other environmental factors, calibration should be performed before scanning to ensure optimal accuracy.

Q: How can accuracy be improved when scanning large parts?

A: The system utilizes SHINING 3D’s patented video-based photogrammetry technology to enhance overall accuracy. UE Nova supports a maximum photogrammetry working distance of 3.5 meters, enabling efficient capture and generation of global marker files for improved precision.
