FreeScan Trak Nova Tutorial - Setup

Overview:

This guide will walk you through the setup process for connecting your FreeScan Track Nova system wirelessly. 

Before beginning, please ensure the wireless connection has been previously paired. 

If the scanner is not connecting, this article also includes steps to re-pair the device with router.


Step-by-Step Setup Instructions

1. Initial Power and Network Setup

  1. Power on the scanner, tracker

  2. Power on the router with provided USB-C cable

  3. Connect your computer directly to the router using an Ethernet cable.

  4. Once connected, launch the scanning software and begin scanning.


Re-pairing Wireless Connection (If Needed)

If you're using a new router or the scanner fails to connect wirelessly, follow the steps below to re-establish the connection:


1. Hardware Connections

  • Connect the scanner and tracker to the hub (power and data).

  • Ensure all devices are powered on.

  • Use Ethernet cables to connect router to your computer

2. Router Pairing

  1. In the scanning software, navigate to the top-right corner and click on the Connection Guide.

  2. Select "Wired Pair".

  3. Select "Pair":

  4. Input the SSID and password of your router.

  5. Click "Confirm". A success message will appear once pairing is complete.


Switching to Wireless Mode

  1. Unplug the Ethernet cable after successful pairing.

  2. Insert:

    • Two batteries into the UE Nova

    • One battery into the TE Nova

  3. Press the power button and wait a few seconds.

  4. The system will automatically switch to wireless mode.

You are now ready to scan wirelessly using the FreeScan Track Nova.
